Well chaps today in my van in st helens ,when I was coming up to a round about the juction on the left to me ,There was about 20 blokes on custom type bikes harleys ect.... All looking the dogs testies chrome shiney brand new bikes ,The leader of the pack came up to the round about very slow and dropped the foooooooooking bike on it side he couldnt pick it up his mates just stud there watching him so I went to help by the time I got there his mates helped him what a rock he must feel was it you ?
Takes me back a good few years, we used to meet up at the Polish War Memorial on the A40. used to be a lay by with a snack van.
One night we was all stood chatting when a guy pulled up to the roundabout on his Harley.....yep,,,down she went right in front of everyone....I bet he felt a right plonker too.
A few years ago i saw a guy with a brand new bike and brand new gear, think it was a gsxr600 he was so short when he stopped at the junction at rivi barn exit to turn left he couldn't touch the floor on his bike on the left side as the ground slopes to the left, i could see it was happing as he was in front of me he foot went down and the ground just wasn't there to support him, it went over in slow motion, poor bugger he couldn't pick it up either, i got off and helped him and he was very shuck up and embarrassed by it all, thank fully not much damage to his bike
but i thought to my self why would you bike a bike that was physically too big for you, at least get it lowered if you must have it
That’s a bit harsh… calling the guy a plonker because he had a spill. There seems to have been a few people around these boards lately dropping their storms… are these peeps plonkers or poor unfortunates?
Now I can understand the description if you’re referring to his choice of bike…
Years ago I was on on my CBR600 and came across a load of blokes, practicing knee downs on a roundabout, obviously pissing off everyone else as they just went round and round stopping people getting out, and to top it off they had a hand held camera.
On my way back ( high beach ) I saw one of them sitting by the side of the road, obviously gutted as he was looking at what was left of his GSXR
The did look like a load of numpties to be honest.
We have mostly all drop our bikes at some stage. I suppose we can be called plonkers if it's a fall trying to show off or doing something stupid. I hate that feeling when a bike drops and you see it happening, try stop it, but can't, and weee down it goes. And then it's baldrocks that's another mirror and lever I got to buy.
Might of mentioned it before, but the best spill I see was my mate who forgot to take his disc lock off and shot off like a bat out of hell, catapulting him over the handle bars, now he did look a plonker.

i'd go the other way, a bikers a biker no matter what they ride, a biker that crashes through no fault of anyone else? PLONKA!
