anyone tried the gb moto bar raisers

I would avoid any bar riser that leaves half the clip on not actually attached to the top of the fork leg. The top half of the clip on might be clamped onto the riser cap but what is the riser cap attached to? Nothing.

The only safe modification I know of that allows you to keep the same clip ons is to machine new fork caps that are longer than standard. With a riser spacer then installed and the clip ons on top of the spacer the clip on is still fully attached to the now longer fork top or fork cap if you want. I have this set up on my Blackbird.

I've only had one item from them, a carbon fibre fender and it didn't fit correctly had to modify and adjust it my self, at over 100 quid i expected a better product

i think this could be the way to go
just dont fancy cutting the fairing
so i better start looking for some 98-01 vfr bars
