Grips

Post by BigVeeGrin »

I've got a mess of a set of grips on mine - someone fitted some heated ones and there're no bar ends etc. So replacements are on the list of things to get.

Who's got what, recommends what? And presume top refit new they 'cut' off, clean up the bar and glue new on??

Cheers

I fitted Renthals last year. The grip is is much better.

Think I only paid about £8 for them.

I can't get on with hot-grips. On frosty winter mornings on motorway to work they just gave me sweaty palms but frozen knuckles. I also didn't like the thickness of the hot-grips and I did notice the absence of the bar end weights especially going round tight bends on lumpy roads. I just prefer a decent pair of winter gloves. Lots of standard bar end weights on ebay quite cheap.

I have bar end weights on mine with sports hotgrips?
I love the fact they are a bit thicker I have fair large hands and a thicker tube means less twist plus it doesn't cause me wrist ache on long trips
