About to do the stopper mod

Post by humberty »

HI

I just receive a couple of brand new CCT and I want to do the stopper mod.

Few questions :
- how do I remove the plunger pin (do I have to use an hammer and a nail to push it through ) then do I use the same pin to re-insert it.
- regarding the internal rod does it have to be attach in anyway or do I just need to slide it in the plunger and it will be automatically tighten with the spring.
-daft question, are the front and rear the same parts ?

thanks

Some quick answers.

The CCT are the same front and rear, but the length of the stopper has to be done specifically for each installation, and they will be different.

Yes you need to use a narrow pin punch, or a small nail or pop rivet, to drift the roll pin out, and it's ok to reuse them.....but they are easy to drop and loose (I did,)

Internal stopper is just loose fitted inside the plunger. There should be pictures in the thread.

If you get confused, you can call me when you are doing the mod.

I've managed to remove that pin so I can see the whole picture now and as long as i can align tdc correctly it should be easy enough

Thanks for your help.
