Bring the bearings, springs and fork oil (7.5wt...so 1 bottle of 5 and 1 bottle of 10wt). I have the grinder and drifts and hammers.
Any particular bearings recommended to order, or straight swap with Honda ones?
dont bother with Honda bearings here, you want to upgrade to a taper roller set. I got mine from WEMOTO
http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/honda/vtr_1 ... balls_usa/

and buy a set, as it includes the seals

Hi - is the workshop day still on for the 21st July please?

I would like to attend for advice and possible valve clearance check\adjustment. Do I recall there being talk of a kit of parts for shimming?

Oh yeah, where in Solihull would I find you?

Cheers - Chris aka Bucklandswifty

As long as my street is above the flood line, the Worksop day will still happen.

Shim kit is here, so you just need to bring your bike and your hands

Pop b94 6qq into google maps and you will find the street. You will have to guess which house when you get there

]Ok so the list looks like: updated

Bigveegrin head bearings, rear suspension linkages, fork re oil.
Cybercarl pisstaking and banter and perhaps fork springs if he can be bothered :D
Lloydiecbr pisstaking, banter and perhaps valve clearance
Geodude pisstaking and banter if he can get a babysitter....just put her in the topbox.
Cliveyandrews and P - bottom!!! (yoke), Head bearings, biscuits and sarcasm
Steve6088 braided hoses
Robs red storm valve clearances
Noblevtr stopper mod and carb balance
Humberty stopper mod And valve clearance
KevL walking from the motorway as I won't allow any of those horrid blue bikes near our fast ones for fear that it's sloth pigmentation is contagious :D
PlayerOne CCTs and valve clearance - provisional
Dandyhighwayman - find missing power (bring yellow paint)
Buclandswifty - valve clearance

We will have the shim kit, but those doing valves or CCT mods need to check your inspection caps will come undone.
Those doing bearings make sure you have got a kit which includes the new top and bottom seals.
Carb balance make sure you have the brass adaptor to fit the front cyl, and a t-piece (although we can nip out to the aquatics shop for that and some hose if needed) .

Please add your name to the list if you want to come, and keep me updated if you have to drop out.
Location is B94 6qq, just off the M42 jkt4.
Get here about 9 for bacon butties, there will be no commentarative stickers, but you can have a used and greasy latex glove to take away.

the hex head caps on the generator cover. they have a tendency to be over tightened and being made of metal coated cheese they then strip the hex out and you spend 2 hrs with a drill and a hammer to get them undone. so before you turn up on the day please make sure they will come out

if we have 15 storms on race cans the sheep will be running for cover...........so we may have to do a bit of off roading to catch them :sheep shagger:
