Hey Guys
just been fitting mine.
just a quick question for all the people with nigh level cans, did any one find that one side went on easier than the other?
right hand side as your sitting on the bike easy job done, left hand side a utter git the can sits back about 5 mm further back than the right hand side one.
thing i'm going to take the grinder to it!
high level cans
Re: high level cans
The left side one fits onto the system near the footrest at a near 90 degree angle sideways, so can't be adjusted fore and aft to adjust the effective can position. But the RH side is much more of an agle, and depending on how much you telescope the link pipes onto the system and can it will mean that the can sits further forward or rearward.
Play with it; if you still can't get it to sit right undo the head exhaust studs, footrest bolts where the can clamps on ( if your link pipes have these- some don't) and wriggle the system about until everything lines up.
Lastly, throw a tape measure onto the cans themselves- it's not unknown for one with a damaged end to be shortened and fitted with a new end cap.
It's usually the entry end to the can, not the exit end; if that's happened.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
