Thanks Al for hosting the workshop day, for the tea\coffee\hot dogs\burgers etc. And thank you to all for being so welcoming and knowledgeable! I would have liked to join you on the ride out but had to get home, the bike is MUCH improved with the stock main jets fitted, it did do its harsh running thing after a spirited bit of overtaking, making me wonder if it’s a fuel shortage situation? Once again, thanks to one and all for a great day out.

Cheers - Swifty

If by rule you mean fu**ed off early yes indeed they did. By any other measure I think you'll find the other shades far superior!
Thanks to all for making it such a good day particularly Carl for his impressions of a fish & a ratchet screwdriver (you had to be there!).
Al, brilliant day mate well done, top advice and catering. Tell your mate that his mingling wheelie landing into the gravel not only split the light guard, but also took two chunks out of my Arai. Git!
Nice to meet some new faces and catch up with some (very!) old ones.

Spoke to the next door neighbour and he said he enjoyed it to  He didn't need to go walk the dog but he was using at as an excuse to have a good nose. Good old lad.

Even the family opposite came out to watch us ride off. Including the grandad and the 3yr old.

So we failed to frighten or upset anybody....

 cheers Al & cheers all, just in. Had a great day, learnt loads, special thanks to my bitches, you know who you are.

Al - somehow the presence of many fine Storms and a blue one in the crescent of Volvos, caravans and manicured shrubberies worked :D Thanks to the preparations of me, Kev, Carl and the Fireball at M40 services all assuming someone else knew where we were going. Thinking about the run up was a long tortuous effort as Kev led, being on blue and all that, got to the village and inexplicably shot on through and headed south, good on yer Lloydie for services to Storm herding.

And please thank Mrs Al, she did a fab job before legging it.

And the bike handles a dream compared to before, nice to have a ride around.

So what was the final count?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

We managed to get 8 storms, 1 KTM 990, 1 Kawasaki 650, 1 Honda 500.

Of that there were 4 storms having work done (if you count Carl doing his own carbs).

Noblevtr got the stopper mod done and also had his carbs stripped cleaned and some changes to the idle mixture, and a carb balance.

Bucklandswifty checked his valve clearances (which were all ok), and had his main jets returned to stock settings (it had a DJ kit fitted but filter and exhaust is stock), and slackened his CCTs as there was only 5mm chain slack.

BigVeeGrin swapped his fork springs (had to cut the spacers down by 10mm), new fork oil, set the sag and damping, then he discovered he already had taper rollers fitted, so he cleaned, regreased, and reset them by the amcq46 process...expect a new set of taper brgs in the for sale section soon!

All the standing around, drinking tea and taking the piss crew failed in their task, as they all ended up helping the guys working on their bikes... Although there was a good amount of tool one upmanship going on

30 cups of tea/coffee, 3 packs of bacon, 2 packs of sausages, 8 burgers and 30 bread rolls gave their lives so that the storm army could keep marching. Althought I kept tiding up Carl's coffee before he had finished it...who else likes cold coffee!?..sorry Carl.

Many thanks to all who came and helped make it a great day
