Now get it down to a dyno to fine tune it :-)
Good result so far :-)

That is the standard Dynojet baseline set up. The common complaint with regards to drilling the third hole is that it brings on the slides on the early side while the bike should be still running on the pilots as the main fuel source. This causes the bike to run on the rich side on the bottom end giving you a flat spot. Did you alter your TPS setting at all?

I'm glad you have the bike running as you think it should and are happy with it. If it works for you then that is great. Have you checked it on a dyno at all?

Thanks for the tip with the screwdriver I will check them out.

Tps was reset to 502 (nearest I could get it on the slots).

Definitely no noticeable flatspots now.
Id like a dyno session to check the fuelling but that'll have to wait until i have more funds

You would only need one run on the dyno to check. BSM took his down to the local dyno. On Saturdays it's £15 a run. Do the 1 run and get you printout. And then tweak yourself as you feel necessary.

Dyno's cost a lot of money when you pay for the dyno tech to remove and replace your carbs half a dozen times to alter things, with runs in between to check the result of their tweaking, until they have it spot on.

I saw the TPS when Iv just had the carbs off but how are you measuring the 502 measurement? To get it to 500?

You need a multimeter and set it at 2000 ohms. Measure the top two prongs on the TPS (throttle position sensor) while carbs are off.

See my post here http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 20#p214886

And check out the Fatory pro website http://www.factorypro.com/ click on online sales at the top then continue to online sales, scroll down to Honda and find the vtr1000 Superhawk, 97 and later. then click on the right hand side link that says H77-click here. Scroll about 3/4 of the page down. Have a nose at the other stuff while you are there.

Multimeter set to Ohms.

I couldn't get my meter leads on the tps pins so took the big black plug of the cdi box in the tail and read the resistance off the red/yellow wire and green/black wire in that plug.
