Teal Orange they are as bad as each other   You might as well paint it Blue

This link should help with the paint codes I'm sure Tango Orange is on the list somewhere.

No idea how much a respray costs. I think it varies widely on where you go and the quality of the work/sprayer.

i like orange, although the firestorm orange looks a bit dull compared to others, expect to pay around £400 for a decent respray, iirc orange isn't a pearl colour so it might even be cheaper. ask around your local area for a decent sprayer, you could keep the costs down by doing the prep work yourself, but a good sprayer will want to prep it himself so he can garantee the work...

Posted first thing this morning Kev

I'm going to have a go at respraying my Fazer Black with rattle cans. I'm considering it a practise run for doing the storm next year. Not decided on colour for the storm yet. I'm toying with Black frame/swingarm etc and pearl white bodywork with fluorescent Green or yellow wheels. Or Metallic Red bodywork and polish up the frame and stuff, wheels Black or Gold. I'm really not sure. May have to make some Photoshop mock ups and see how they look.

I think the orange code is called "vomit orange"

Spray it black. Everyone knows black is the best.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

From rattle-can painting my old CBR pearl black, all I can say is don't underestimate the importance of rubbing down properly and thoroughly between each layer, and T-Cut the hell out of the lacquer coat!
If you take your time, buy decent quality paint, and spray many thin light layers it turns out well! Good luck to you!

On-topic: Orange could be nice :P
Working manual CCTs thanks to the wonderful folks of this forum :)

these are the paint schemes i considered before going with the standard tahitan blue....

satin black frame with bright white plastics
--------------------------------------------
then i thought about the honda legends(as kev said and i have to agree you need the fairing lowers for this)
--------------------------------------------
bright orange with 2 black stripes running down the middle like a ducati, again with a satin black frame
--------------------------------------------
as i said i decided to go with a more conventional colour in the end, what i liked about the white paintwork is that you could add a sticker kit and turn it into a race rep....castrol/honda legends/hydrex/rothmans to name a few....

Cheers, yeh I know. The prep is the easy bit for me, I used to be a painter and decorator. What I find tricky is applying the lacquer from previous experience. I have the added bonus  of the difficulty of working outside in the garden. :( I so wish I had a garage.
