+1 i did a rocker cover on my old capri yrs back and it changed when it got heat thro it, try it with a hot air gun if you have one :thumbup:

It will darken as it fully cures which will take 24 hours and being VHT probably needs the heat to set it off. :thumbup:

Hot air gun is a good idea but knowing BSM he will overdo and strip the paint back off. :lol:

The VHT Crinkle paint requires the use of heat ie hot air gun to get the crinkle effect. And each coat should be applied in different directions.

I don't know if you would actually need vht paint for the rocker covers, I used standard hammerite silver on my gs's cylinders and it's coped no probs for six months now
A good etch primer is needed though!

the paints a smooth finish not wrinkly likelloydies ball bag :wink:
sounds like i won't get to see the finished effect until its heated up then, what if i put them ontop of the end cans and run the bike for ten mins would that work... :eh:

as far as the oven goes i'm tempted, but the lady of the house would have an absolute sh1t fit if i did that, i could always wait for her to go out, but i'm worried the smell from the cooking rocker cover would be awful...... 8O
