Re: new tyres :)
Just had a Metzeler Roadtec Interact Z8 fitted to the front.
Let's see if it can beat the 9,900 miles the Angel ST did.
Felt great, the Angel after that mileage was I think just 3 flats instead of curved.

Re: new tyres :)
I've stuck a set of Metzeler Z8's on the Monster to see how they compare to the Michelin Road 3's. So far (after getting them scrubbed in) the level of grip in the dry is excellent. Haven't had them in the rain yet.

Michelin pilot road 3's fitted last week, went out yesterday round some big islands near me early before anyone was about and had a hoon about to get used to them - I am well impressed, best tyres I have had on a bike although on a supermoto I always fit Avon Distanzias

My pilot sport 2ct rear is shot now, and I will be fitting a PR3 on the back in the next few days, will be good to have some tread in the middle for when you come round the corner and find a river crossing the road

Re: new tyres :)
Let us know how they compare. I'm going the Z8 way too though I'm more interested in how well they last. Not a good enough rider to notice the difference in any quality tyre - they all feel good to me.......firestorm_al wrote:I've stuck a set of Metzeler Z8's on the Monster to see how they compare to the Michelin Road 3's. I had a pair of PR2's fitted to mine a couple of days ago. Filled me with confidence going around corners. Still got a little bit of work to do but that is me not the tyres. The feel great, plenty of grip, warm up quickly. What more could you need?

Getting a BT021 on mine tomorrow. Still available and I doubt I'll notice too much difference between them and a BT023 and at £120 fitted, ride in and out, good value I think
