Oil cooler compatibility between years

Post by Dexter »

Hi,

Having recently got myself a 2002 Firestorm (introduction thread here http://www.haymouth.co.uk/phpBB3/viewto ... 23&t=25539 ). One thing that is bothering me is the oil cooler pipes running from the engine casings to the cooler are very rusty (most of the chrome plating has flaked off and it's only a matter of time before they fail). There are a number of replacement parts on e-bay but I'm not sure if the pipes changed between models?

Any advice would be appreciated!

get some goodridge steel braided oil lines made up mate, they look well trick with the red/blue fastners, i think you can get them on ebay easy enough.

iirc you just need to cut the old lines off, leaving a few centimetres at each end for the new lines to connect to.....
