Steve6088's track bike

Post by Steve6088 »

Just had the bike dropped off. I am really pleased with it  . The right hand side rearset which looked to be welded in the ebay photos was just some masking tape to stop the peg from spinning.

It also has a steering damper fitted which wasn't mentioned in the listing

Bike seems to pull better than my road bike (tested on a private road ofc :shifty:)Just had time before it went dark to take a few quick pictures. Will give it a more thorough check over and tidy tomorrow. If I have energy I'll get the wheels off and prep'd for painting

Can't wait to get it on the track!

Looks real nice. You need a bigger paddlock and chain on it though as it stands out as something special. I'm not surprised it pulls better as it's lighter, probably tuned up good and it's not Silver.

Is that private/locked underground parking. Underground parking can give a false sense of security. Nice and secluded with not many walkers by, possibly no cctv (not that that it scares them) etc etc. I see you have the cover there for it, so no one will spot what it is by glancing over. Opportunists, Thieves doing a recce :!:

Just thought, before you go racing it, change those ccts if they are auto. It's not like you going to rebuild the engine after every race. Which is the reason why the Mori's stick with the Honda ones.

You took a pun and got yourself a nice bike there. Handy you don't need to fix the peg  What's she sound like? Bodywork looks good.

What no garage :-( .
All good news about the rear sets and damper .
Get a ground anchor for it and remove one of the wheels and remove the battery .that should help keep it safe

It is secure as car parking gets. need a fob to get in and there are plenty of bars to lock it to. It'll most likely have both wheels out of it to respray. I wont bother putting them back in until I need to use it, so will make it a bit harder to pinch.

Or lighter to pick up and throw into a van.....

But hopefully not, it's a good bike at a bargain price, hope you enjoy it.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
