Thanks for chasing darkember. Can I suggest you remove peoples full names as this is an open forum?

I think a few are camping. I will be staying at the in-laws just down the road.

I may have to drop out of this. Funds are really tight at the moment and I have just received a big bill. It's not definite and I'm umming and arghing with myself and trying to justify it. Or just go wombles it and whack more on the credit card :eek2 I will let you know for sure nearer the time.

Just looked at BBC weather for this weekend trip. Could it be good or bad? you make up your own minds. But of course this could all change between now and then.
Monday 3 September—Sunday 9 September
Some dry and warm weather, mainly in the south
Further rain is likely at times in the north as we head into the first full week of September, otherwise a good deal of fine and dry weather is expected with some decent sunny spells developing.
As we head towards the end of the week a trend to more unsettled conditions across the whole UK is possible.
Temperatures will generally be close to the September average, which ranges between around 16 and 17 Celsius in the north to about 19 or 20 Celsius in the south, although with ridged conditions tending to favour southern and southeastern Britain, here it will occasionally turn warm.
However, some chilly nights are also likely, mainly in rural areas at first.

As I have organised it, you can be sure there will be rain at some point :P Every Op Storm I have organised has had at least a little rain.

I best pack my waterproofs then. As long as it rains when I am already out I will be OK but if it rains before I start the day I may be staying in bed

It's too far ahead for them to be accurate, check closer to the time. Try http://www.metcheck.com. They usually have better weather

I live about 6 miles from the Vic. If I get my CCTs sorted I'll be joining in for the Saturday ride, Mrs John permitting
