I have made a slight modification to take in the Ashbourne to Belper Road and another meet point, The Cat n Fiddle inn. Although you northerners have it on your doorstep, us Southerners don't get to visit often. (Hope you don't mind Al)

By the time we leave the pub and including the 5 fuel stops needed to get there  , I reckon we should arrive at Matlock between 12 and 1. Barring any problems getting there, we will aim to leave Matlock at 1:30, That gives all plenty of time to get there before we leave.

Tea at Cat & Fiddle is the next stop you can join us for a chat and/or the rest of the ride there.
george, not a problem with the changes, but you have managed to loose the cat & fiddle loop off this update

try this one http://goo.gl/maps/cyEQw. we will have to do the Goyt Valley rd 2 times..... :D
Excellent. I'll update the first post with the route :)

Bar stewards.
This all looks like fun and I'm going to be at a cheese festival all weekend*.
Mind you. mine's misfiring on WOT at 7500 at the moment, so it might have been possible for some of you to catch up and make it interesting.
Next year, and have a good time out.
Don't ride safely, it's tedious and boring

* Luckily there's also a cider bus         :wtf: :bondage: :burp: :drunk: :fart1: :Hammer: :Jump: :Jaw Drop:  :Shock1: :Sleep1:  :Sleep1: :Sleep1:  :Slap1:  :Smoke2: :Smoke2: :Smoke2: :Stick1: :wtf:     probably.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

George,
you have obviously factored in our historic ability to fail to get the group out of bed and fueled up on time, so our planned 10am start will be more like 11am

we will also need to specify a location in Matlock Bath so we dont mess around missing each other, I dont know the town so if someone can suggest a landmark that will help.

if anyone gets missed in Matlock I am planning to stop for petrol in Bakewell in the Murco petrol station http://goo.gl/maps/twXym, so if you are there from 1.30 you will be safe.

all Firestorms need to fill up there so we should have enought fuel to get to the next petrol stop in Maccelsfield

Nice one Al.

I will be posting up a briefing note later as not everyone will be at the start point. It just explains things like who the leader/back marker(s) are, a bit about the marking system being used and some other important info. It's fairly important you read and understand it and your cooperation is much appreciated.

The weather is looking perfect (a first for any of the Op Storms I've done  ) so lets make it the best one yet

This is going to be epic, I like to see a storm or two when I'm out and about but a whole 'thump of storms' ,cool as.
Mabey we can settle the colour war once and for all! Which ever colour is the most prolific is the supreme example of our beloved storms!! (I'm hoping its black, the coolest and fastest of course)
