Lazy, wrong and annoying journos

Post by BigVeeGrin »

Here's what is said in the MCN Email update for the weekend's racing

Reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo is within touching distance of a second successive world title after his countryman Dani Pedrosa endured a first lap to forget in San Marino

Seems Stoner is being written out of MotoGP history.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that.

MCN reporting is a bit of a joke in general, both in their paper and online, normally their headlines are nothing that matches the story

I stopped buying MCN years back, because of there rubbish journos, their website is no better either.

MCN is OK as long as you don't take it too seriously. Gives you an indication of what's likely to occur and the race results!
As for Casey he has missed the last race, got a fourth due to injury and will miss the next round. That's given the Spanish Armada a bit of an advantage. Obviously nothings over until etc etc, but it is a huge ask given the way Lorenzo and Pedrosa are riding.
For what it's worth I felt sorry for Pedrosa at the weekend, seemed a bit harsh given that the original problem was caused by Abrahams. He's like a china doll when he comes off and this is the first year he's been fit through the season.
Good to see the Duke doing better and a shame Cal hit the dirt.

kev, I think you missed the bit where they called Lorenzo the "Reigning motoGP champion".........which in my book means he won it last yr, but he didnt it was Stoner.
I think they should have said "current championship leader", then it would have been correct, but it shows how bad their journalists are if even a dsylexic Scot can correct their english

Fairy snuff matey.
Would have been good to have kept it all on an even keel going into the final part of the season to see who came out strongest, but that's unlikley now.
Next year should be interesting with Bradley and Cal at Tech 3 and Spies on a Ducati with something to prove.
Shame Mr Stoner won't be in the mix though. Love him or hate him he makes some superb shapes on his bike, no matter what colour it is.

yup, i think the championship this yr could get a bit boring, but I hope that Casey will want to finsh his time in MotoGP with a few wins even if he cant win the championship, and that Jorge is too much of a competitor to ride for 2nd place even if the championship is safe. Then we will at least get some races :D

still cant work our Spies though, its like he has given up on yamaha when both Cal & Dovi can get the B spec bikes on the podium, but he cant do it with the A bike! and then to go down to Pramac Ducati, that is dropping to the C list bike!

Spies has been really unfortunate this year with mechanical issues, but he's not the same rider who blitzed the WSB grid. it Will be intresting to see whether Dovi & Spies can get anything from the Duke. They are both young enough to push the envelope a little more than Rossi was prepared to do.
