Nelsons in Portsmouth, just beside Lake Road Geo. You know the place?

Yes. I had a bit of a bad experience with them once. Might be a one off though. I'd be interested to hear how you get on. Hopefully it'll pass no problems.

I've been going to him for a few years now, Never had an issue. Over the years it has been less and less as I have been doing more and more work myself. Will let you know the deal with the MOT though.

It had to pass really as you have been working on it yourself.

It's a nice feeling passing an MOT, no worries for another year.

Last year I got a few advisaries, Tyres, Rear brake pads and disk. I got them all changed, disk thanks to a fellow stormer on here. This year a clean sheet. All that means to me is the work I have done has been good enough not to need re doing. I'm learning.

Got me a weird new ticket this year, None of those green ones anymore. Just a small bit of white paper. I dont like it, feels wrong.

I didn't even realise they had changed them. Looks like they are cutting back on the amount of paperwork by not having two sheets. Looks very easy to forge. I realise that's a sample but does your real one have any watermarks embedded in the paper?

They don't use anything but normal copy paper. Some firms print it on coloured paper to make it look a little different. All of the details are on the computer so the sheet is only really a receipt for the owner.

Yeh I suppose with it all on computer there's no need for a forgery as there's not many places or circumstances where an MOT is not checked on the database, just seems strange.

It's done to save money. No special sheets, just printed on normal A4.
