Maybe back to the fold?

Post by JamesD »

Well I joined this forum back in 2005 when I had my '98 Storm, was a bit of a lurker TBH and since then I have had a rook of bikes. Now I am not riding as much and have decided to just have the 1 bike in the garage that I can enjoy every now and again.

My history reads...

Kawasaki ZZR600 ('95 bike which was immaculate, my 1st road bike)
Honda VTR1000F ('98 bike in red with Yoshis)
Kawasaki ZX6-R ('05 bike had from new, did not get on with it)
Kawasaki Versys ('07 bike which was a regular commuter, had from new..fell to bits)
Kawasaki ZZR1400 ('08 bike which I had from new, super fast and great mile muncher)
Harley Davidson FXDF Fat Bob ('09 bike which I had from new, loved it did 15k miles touring in 1 year)
Yamaha FJR1300 (08' bike bought to commute to London from Swindon, I lasted 12 months!)

...baby came and moved job to London so biking took a back seat

Currently have a Triumph Daytona 95i ('05 bike) which is mint and a lovely ride...but it's not a V-Twin and that's what I want to get back into.

Looking to sell the Triumph for about £3k and buy the best Storm I can find (preferably in red) :D

Wish me luck...the missus is complaining why I would want to change again (but she does not get it). Booked for TT in 2013 so need to be well sorted before then!

Here is a pic of the old one...hope she is still going strong.
