@Rob No probs with clutch engagement. Smooth.
@Toni mon Clutch grab thing? What's that?
Your opinions on this kevlar clutch set?
Re: Your opinions on this kevlar clutch set?
With Storms there's a common fault with the clutch design- it doesn't seem to affect all bikes, though.
If you launch the bike hard (drags trip or very fast lights launch), the clutch can grab suddenly, make a nasty mechanical noise and try to rear up.
It's exactly as if the clutch cable has snapped (No, it hasn't got one, they're hydraulic) just as you dial in max throttle in first with the clutch almost home.
It will, most definitely, get your attention.......
I've been trying to get a fix for it, and so have lots of others, for ages.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

No, as long as they're not blue you'll not have damaged the hardening.lloydiecbr wrote:as i will be buying a new clutch soon what will i need ?

Straw is ok.
But just to be sure measure them against the min wear limit in the Haynes manual.

Took the advice on looking at the clutch lever settings. By altering them I've stopped the slip although the clutch bite is now closer to the the bar grip. Probably a temporary measure and will have to get a new clutch but should see me through winter.
Not experienced the clutch grab thing but surely kevlar plates would make that worse as they sharpen the clutch bite?

Re: Your opinions on this kevlar clutch set?
All the dial/adjuster on the lever does is position the lever nearer or further away from the bar for comfort and to accommodate different size hands. Or are you referring to bleeding

Although they mention a sharper clutch bite I didn't notice it at all.Image wrote:
