or cut a 1cm long bit off 5mm hose and bung it on the downward facing drain so no one else can inadvertently put the vacuum hose on it...
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Well the bike is certainly working. Has got me and the mrs to just north of Leeds ans hasn't skipped a beat. Feel so much happier now :)
