Just been out on bike, after fitting new plugs and air filter, the old filter must have been well clogged up as with the new it felt like I had the wind behind me, giving me that feel of a few extra horses that you get on a windy day, but it was not the wind as it went like that everywhere! It would'nt have been due to the new plugs, as I had already tried it out before fitting the new air filter. The strange thing is the old filter didn't look that dirty. Just thought i'd share that with you,
cheers Chris.

Interesting...... following oil, oil filter and plug change I contemplated changing the air filter but it looked ok. I'm no expert on how air filters should look though. You reckon its worth changing then :?:

Hi BigD
I have only changed the air filter at recommended service time, which is my 12,000 miles service. I also washed the two small foam type filters (one at the front and one at the back) while I had the airbox apart,
hope that helps,
Chris.

PS. As I said in previous post mine didn't look that bad.
