Do you think it's totally impartial looks like a lot of Champ filters are recommended over what i was previously led to believe to was superior filters?

Let's compile a database or spreadsheet of particle size, and percentage of particles that size that get through.
I was thinking the same tony, we could dedicate our lives and this site to the scientific facts and fiquires of oil filters, it would make our lives so much more interestingly boring.

I was studying the the the groves of a OEM air filter once and measuring distances and abnormalities of distances, I nearly slipped into a coma.
Strange that as I struggled so hard to find logic with your post I too nearly slipped into a coma, final conclusion poor attempt at humour.

Sorry for the butthurt.

seriously, as much as I like mechanical side of things, a filter made by a company that makes good qaulity filters have always been enough for me.

Don't think it's an indication of any bias - just that Champion make a lot of own-brand filters

I bit of delving turns up the factoid that Halfords oil and air filters are made by Sogefi Filtration, Europe's largest filter manufacturer. Sogefi have factories all over Europe and own several of the top brands sold in the UK, including Fram, Purflux, Coopers and Crosland. They are OE to most vehicle manufacturers in Europe.
