Bloody postman. The worst one is when you have to wait indoors for a delivery and they don't turn up. I hate that cause I could have gone out and done something else rather than hanging around waiting. It drives me mad. 
And I can't trust my neighbours so I don't want stuff dropped off with them. Postal service in this country has really gone downhill.

No, the worst, and it's happened to me a few times, is when they don't even bother knocking.
I'm upstairs on the PC, go downstairs to make a cuppa and find a card on the mat!
They haven't knocked because my dog goes mad when anyone does - I might miss the knock but he never does - even when asleep.

I've had that one too. And that's if they can be bothered posting a card. Then all of a sudden it turns up the next day. WTF Or they just don't knock the door hard enough even though there is a sign saying "please knock hard"
