Voltometer Fitted

Post by Image »

Only cost me 3 quid off ebay with free postage and easy to fit (2 wires). It'll give me peace of mind when I've got stuff like heated jacket etc running from my battery. It'll also give me a heads up if battery is going duff or not recharging. It's curently showing 12.5v with engine off, 13v at tick-over and 16v on motorway. Nice to know info :D

That would be small enough to put on the face of the rev meter, cutout and fit where the x1000 is.

If it is showing 16v on the motorway then you have a knackered regulator/rectifier unit!

16v is too much, you'll be cooking your battery. Your reg/rec must be shafted!

Spec is 13.5-15.5 V/5,000 min-1 (rpm) (with hi-beam on)

So not far out and as it's from China I wouldn't expect it to be sooperdooper accurate.

Still might want to inspect the R/Rs ground connections are clean and efficient

What's that the spec of? Output voltage from the reg/rec?

http://jhau.maliwi.de/mot/batt.html#chargevoltage

Spec for your average reg/rec:

http://pdf.datasheetpro.com/ShindengenE ... 2-Data.pdf

Max output 14.9V
