I HAVE A 1997 FIRESTORM THAT HAS DEVELOPED A SPEEDO PROBLEM.

WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD ITS FINE BUT WHEN WARM THE SPEEDO DOESN'T READ IN 4TH WHEN ACCELERATING BUT DOES IF I SHUT THE THROTTLE OR PULL THE CLUTCH IN.

IT WANDERS IN OTHER GEARS BUT ALWAYS READS.

HAS ANYBODY ANY IDEAS???

Had the same prob a little while ago. turned out, (best i could work out anyhoo) that it was always when i washed the bike properly (not just a dusting over)

We think the sensor thingy located at the back of the engine must have been shorting when it got wet....

now pay extra care when cleaning it, and hasnt been a problem since...

(fit a Sigma computer if not, much better)
