You hit the wall head first , could have been loads worse, hope you mend well and have a speedy recovery and not too much time off work. Real shame about the bike but main thing is you were able to get up (albeit after a while)

gutted for you mate, i love white sp2's and its horrible seeing whats happened, fingers crossed you'll mend quickly, can you remember the make and model of the taxi? did it have any markings from a certain taxi firm?
not sure where you live or the area the accident happened, but i'd take a day out and go to every taxi firm in the ares looking for the c.u.n.t
i can't believe he drove off, some people are scum, you could be dead and all they think off is the trouble they might get in....

Good idea buddy as said take anything off that's not e marked as road legal such as the HID if you had them in he could claim you blinded him etc if he knew they was not road legal lights etc and possibly get away with it

Just getting train home, sucks but it's better than a freezing 20mile stretch on the motorway lol

Sorry to hear the bad news Benny.

Don't forget it's not just your bike you are claiming for. It's your injuries too, a broken hand is probably a 3 - 5k pay out, also your helmet, jacket, jeans, taxi rides to and from the hospital etc etc. Start making your list and get all your injuries documented and recorded.

I am very sorry to hear this news mate. It's always wombles taxi drivers! At least you're not too badly hurt.On the up side, if you play your cards right you could do quite nicely out of it . I did when a car pulled out on me and wrote my bike off a few years back
