As the title say's it really gets on my tits when i'm in a 30 zone and i'm doing between 30 - 33 mph ish and there is a car as always seems to be the case right up my chuff

You then get in a 50 / 60 and they still just plod along about 40 you leave them behind then a min or two down the road you're in a 30 and they are back up your butt

Besides stopping the bike in the middle of the road getting off and going ballistic and punching out (bad experience once when the guy was comparable to an 80's Schwarzenegger)

If i was to strap a camera to the back of the bike what can i do with the footage, would you just drop it off at a police station and say sort this moron out?


I don't understand why people can't leave a reasonable distance in there tin boxes? when they are walking the street they don't walk so close as to crawl up the mans butt in front, you would turn round and knock them spark out
yet as soon as they get in there cage they can't get close enough

Personally, I would just let them past if they are in that much of a hurry to get by. Then pass them later when it's safe to do so.

It doesn't happen as much these days but whenever I got "annoyed" at another road user, I found my full attention was not on the road as much as it could be.

TBH i dont think most of the idiots actually realise theyre doing anything wrong. They wouldnt do it if they rode a bike.
If people start tailgating me, I slow down to a walking pace, just to piss them off.If Then speed back up, hoping they got the message ( they often do ). Repeat action if they do it again.

Not that it happens that often. My attitude is I'll ride as fast or slow as I feel safe doing so, and if I have to bend the rules to keep out of the aforementioned twats way, so be it. Alive healthy lawbreaker is way better then law abiding corpse. Power and speed, if used correctly, can get you out of as much trouble as it can get you in.

I dont think a camera would be any good as submissable evidence because any like that would have to be approved for that specific purpose and also have the time and date etc stamped on it. If you took to to the rozzers at best, and if they had the time, they could pay a visit and just have words with them. But it would have to be something really dangerous and life threatening for them to do that if they can be arsed.

I either just open up the throttle or move into another lane and let them pass.

Camera footage is all the rage at the mo, all the cyclist at work have em fitted on their cycle helmets (seen some scary footade) and the coach company driver who goes in our local reckons all their buses now have em fitted and reset for every trip, he did mention that they are randomly checked for evidence of poor driving and evidence if involved in bumps, he reckons it has saved the company a fortune as accidents have halved.
My personal pisser at this time of year is cyclist with no lights or hi vis gear and the F*****s who drive with the windows still frosted up - hate to say it but its usually women

Yes for insurance purposes and accident claims etc, also for employers spying on staff. But camera evidence that will hold up in a court of law is a different matter. Just like speed cameras/gatso's and lasers have to be calibrated every time before use or the equipment they use in video cars has to be of a certain kind and contain certain data within the footage on screen like time and date and off screen in hidden data.

You know what, tailgating really winds me up, and I mean it really does wind me up, I have four children sitting in various places at the back of my car, and at any speed you always get the pillock who wants to hug you a$$, you can clearly see there are kids in the car, you have to be blind, stupid or an A$$hole to tail gate a car full of kids.

If someone was tailgatting me and the went into the back of me in an accident and killed one of my kids I would slit their throat by the side of the road.

The torque and engine braking work really well, and they can't see your brake lights, and you can slow down by shutting the throttle alone much quicker than a car would.
That might cause some of the problems.

My son has not long passed his test and he has an insurance black box thing. He gets totally wombles off with people right up his butt in 30 zones etc.

This is where the kill switch bangs work well . Even better at night as they can easily see the flames . And a burnout at the lights works well to :-)
