Yeh it would be interesting to see how it was done. At one stage I was considering copying Yeti's ramair tubes. I had an idea of popping over to see him and making a cardbord template copy from his carbon tubes. Then from the template making some out of fibreglass. Then cutting a tank up and getting welded up to the shape of the mori tank so the ramair tubes would fit, then all the inside under the carb's could be covered over with a fibreglass panel to enclose it all.

If I had a track bike I would defo do that, but for a road bike I don't think there's much point in ramair as it's all about top end.

Re the red & white VTR no.8.

I believe that was raced in Thunderbikes by Kevin Van De Worp. This year he has turned to the dark side & now rides a R1 !

That bike was featured in Performance Bikes a couple of years ago. IIRC Kevin sold it to Dave Wass ( http://www.1771racing.co.uk/ ) who basically scraped it. That's where the Nitron race shock I have came from.

Again IIRC the swinger is an SP 1 or 2 with just the ''ears'' welded on to the frame to take the swinger.

Pics you may be able to get from PB or get a back copy of the mag from them. Sorry but can't remember when it was in there, some time in the last couple of years. They did several features on bikes from the Thunderbike series.

Or try contacting Dave Wass, he has an account on here so you could PM him & he may be able to give you more info.

Yes he's that nice chap who organised that fantastic workshop day you attended back in June, you remember the one where he gave everyone free stickers. Personally I think his bike is fabulous ! It's Red so It must be fast.

IIRC you were the miserable old git on the awful blue pile of poo...
