still tho i wouldnt Pay that for an SP1, it's nout special in terms of SP1's just orginal, there are loads about why buy one with so low miles at a silly fukcing price only for it to drop by half when you have put a few thousand miles on it, for that money i you would get a mint black framed SP2 or a bloody good Duke 1098 or a like new RR7 Blade (the best looking one) etc etc

i dont see the point in getting these nealy new old bikes unless you want to put them in a glass box, get them used!

Neither would i ! Nowt special but wouldnt think their are many as origonal, iv'e been looking recently and dont see loads available,I prefer low mileage bikes as they are less likeley to have been F****d about with,as for silly f*****g prices its what its worth personally, New bikes / cars loose the same regardless of miles but i would still have new over second hand any day.
As you say, for the same money a lovely black framed SP2 would be an option and probably what i would go for, personally i wouldnt piss on a 1098, sick of waiting with my mate and his for the AA van to recover it, in fact he wont come on runs anymore for fear of braking down, RR7 nice but not a twin and very little character, closest i have ridden to a twin and what i prefer is the cross plane crank R1 but even this would have me losing interest in no time like most other fours, they simply lack character in my opinion and experience of them.
Nostalgic reasons and wealth are probable reasons for wanting new old stock - if i had the funds and one became available id have a brand new 250lc for these very reasons and obviously if money didnt matter you would probably have the option to use something else instead and aswell.
Done all the commuting in all weathers and now i have the choice the bike is for good weather so it is getting used but the car and its comforts are my choice for the rest .

Called them today to see if their may have been any movement in the asking price, the bike sold at full asking price and the guy reckoned he could have sold a dozen such was the interest. Looks like i'll need to be quick when the right one comes up. :sad2
