I think you'd be looking at around £100 to get it done right .
Sanded back to metal so they can start from fresh like the painter did with mine .
As a good painter will tell you they can't trust the paint that's on it already as it may react

To be perfectly honest going back to bare metal isn't always the way go go and can cause as many issues as going over the top of something. Just panel wipe it and then but a barrier layer in and you'll be toppers.

Anymore than £50 - £75 to paint a tank in a single colour and you need your seeing to unless you have some flash paint or want a show finish.

If you have time give it a guide coat with a rattle can and then sand it back to give a good surface to work from.

Just (last month) had a tank, front guard and some rear body work painted for £150 in metallic red and the spray shop did all the prep work

the tank has been fully prepped already, the work was done by a petrol sniffing, caffiene/nicotiene addict who is also a choccoholic, so as you can imagine its perfect :D

Sounds like right nutter   You should add Bitumen with the petrol as well, I love the smell of that when it's being melted down in one of those big roadside pots :biggrin

just a tip - fit an inline fuel filter after a tank respray.
you'll always get bits of it in the tank and it may save you having to strip the carbs!
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
