Microns are now on

Post by mik_str »

I just finished installing my Micron (race) low-mounts this evening. I took the bike out for a short 30 km ride and the results are very nice. The sound is nice and crisp, the bike definitely felt snappier at all speeds and there was an absence of any lean spots or surging (no popping on decel or stalling at lights either). The engine aslo seemed to run smoother (as in less vibration). So far all is well. Not a big deal but I had to share it with someone

I am now looking forward to completing my project of adding the long intake trumpet on the front cylinder and getting it jetted (likely get it done at dealer's and have him tune it on the dyno at the same time).

cheers
Micky

:?: Did you dyno before and after the pipe change? Lose any torque or low end power?

sorry, no dyno. It did feel SLIGHTLY softer at the very bottom end (sub 3K) but installing the long intake trumpet overcame that. I do thik that the jetting on the low end may be a bit lean but that will all be fixed with teh jet kit. Overall I am very happy with my Microns (so far).
