Worn over a clingfilm mankini they work really well at keeping you warm and dry, but frankly you get some funny looks at the Dartford Tolls.
Have you got any pics

Yep, here's one I took earlier:

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

You'd think it was a nuclear winter they way you all dress up :P

Some obscure G-Mac jacket, Buffalo Armoured Trousers, some Richa Hipora boots, and some cheapy inner/outer gloves and balaclava I picked up at Motorcycle Live the other week

Funny you should say that Virt. I never had to wear so much until I lost weight. Now I have to replace all that blubber with something I guess

When your body starts to shut down on the motorway and you go to sleep with the cold you will regret it

I'm fine on the motorways though? I've done stints on the motorway for 90 minutes plus and I don't really get too cold, worst I get is numb fingers and if it gets really bad I'll just turn on my heated grips the next time I stop..

Yep, hypothermia is not to be taken lightly and can kill. It's the uncontrollable shivering and lack of concentration that freaks me out. I am useless on the bike then and make silly decisions. If you body is starting to shut down your beyond that point and yoru body stops shivering as it don't have the energy for that and is only feeding your vital organs by that stage. The next stage is possible death as your vital organs will eventually shut down. :eek2 Some people suffer the cold more than others, I don't like the cold and nor does my body.

its not got cold yet mate I'm assuming your a new rider?

don't underestimate the cold mate, i work a physical job and i eat alot i'm phicaly fit and do well in the cold at night in work (out door environment)

i used to think pah don't need all that junk on like some of these boys have,

well i was wrong, i've smashed the bike down the road when i lost concentration few years ago,

i've also fell asleep and very nearly slumped off the bike in that bad winter of 2010 on the motorway, once it starts to set in nothing you can do will keep you from shutting down except getting warm

cold hands can be a killer the reaction speed is massively reduced,

once last year my heated grips was playing up and i didn't have bar muffs back then, after 20 miles i came off the @ junction to go home tried to stop the bike could i wombles!! had to use my wrist to clutch too

I would not use a bike again in winter with out Bar Muffs / Heated Grips & Wind breaker type good quality neck tube
