front paddock stands

but my problem is that i already have a rear stand (make unknown), so dont wanna buy another rear stand + attachement, cos that defeats the object....

So how much should i be looking at for a headstock stand? (approx), i know anout the fork stands... but would prefer the headstock if my pennies will stretch...

ps, can you elaborate on "pronged lifter" i'm picturing "scissor" type action, that expands or decreases for adjustment to fit whatever headstock you have..... is this right, if so, where from, how much etc...

Check out this link for pictures of stands. (very pricey, wouldn't buy from them)

The front stand at the bottom has rollers instaed of prongs that the bottom of the fork sits in. The pronged type are the same sort of thing, but has pins that fit in the hole at the bottom of the leg.

Buy an adaptor (shown as "old type") and don't pay any more than Â£25.
They will fit all rear stands.

actually - yup,

cos, even though i've already got one rear stand, thinking about it, i can get another for about Â£20-25 + the adapter @ Â£25 (ish) and then have the choice of either two rear stands, or one for each end....(using the adapter).....

All for prolly what i would spend on one complete headstock lift!!!

The blade mudguard clamps round the fork legs without actually bolting to them directly. Thus once the wheel is removed the fork bottom can be twisted to allow the brake calipers to splay out and the wheel to be removed
Not quite as trick at the Suzuka 8-hour wheel change solutions (drool) but effective nonetheless

Well.......went to the BMF.....

got bargain of the centuary.... was only looking for a front stand, but picked up a set (front & rear) of "Bikeit" stands for 32.00 !!!!

That'll do then.........
