Email Notifications

Post by VTRDark »

I haven't been getting any Topic reply notifications from the forum today. Just wondering if anyone else has had/having problems.

I know it's not gmail as I sent a test email to myself, and all my setting in the control panel are set to receive mail.

Yeh I'm subscribed to the lot.

Strange....maybe I will get a whole backlog of them at a later date. There may be a glitch in the forum processing them then. It's happened in the past but not for this long before. There's even been times before where I have received the odd email notification from a post that I have viewed days beforehand.

I think I will log in direct into my gmail account and check the server.

Solved.

It turns out it was a problem at the gmail end. For some strange reason the gmail spam filter had filtered it as spam. :confused I have marked as not spam and it has all come through into my email app locally now

Yeh there's a few people been having problems with this. I found that all emails where getting treated as spam, therefore not downloading locally onto my computer. What you need to do is log in directly to the Site/ISP that is providing your email. Check you spam and spam filters that are provided by the host and uncheck them as spam. You will probably find a backlog in there.
