I actually quite like the coloured lights some people do (mostly the yanks) and on the hot rod cars, if they are palced in the right place. I think it's more of a showmanship type thing though or in case you want to work on your bike in the dark

Chris I'm not sure how legal they are to have on while on the public roads in the UK, you should look into that.
