I think the Dark visors are for daytime use only. Not legal once the sun goes down.

Okay, whereas iridiums' just aren't legal full stop. I'll probably just carry a clear one around with me then if that's the case

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

None of them are legal if they are dark tint or iridium. Only the light tints are marked "daylight use only". A couple of years ago ACPO advised that prosecution just for dark visors shouldn't happen, but I wouldn't count on it!

I have a shark the same as benny's, I can't fault it, and at 75 quid its a steal, mines in black with red smoke, regards the visors, any colour you like during daylight as soon as its dark clear only, I carry a clear inside my jacket, wraps around my side nice and snug. If you look at the coppers our way they all run with dark visors and a spare clear just in case.

Sorry to continue to disagree but if you go by the letter of the law -
http://motorbike.access-legal.co.uk/2011/01/visors.html
So anything which doesn't allow 50% light tranmission is illegal no matter what time of day. This is why The Visor Shop etc have the waver on the opening page of their site.
So if you get a tug it becomes another option for them.

I tell you what, we could just get rid of the helmets all together and wear a turban. That is perfectly legal.

But aren't they not allowed to cut their hair ever or something? All that hair packed into a turban would be incredibly dense and very good at absorbing the force from an impact.. Provided you land at a perfect 90 degree angle to the curvature of the earth, not even a helmet can absorb all the force all the time. And hair is re-useable too!
