any advice greatly appreciated

Where are they then on the VTR.Might of popped the core plugs tho in only water left in it
the expansion tank is not connected to the cooling system, is is only an overflow for the pressure cap.cybercarl wrote:Where are they then on the VTR.Might of popped the core plugs tho in only water left in it
Lets hope there was enough space in the expansion bottle and the rest of it, for the water to expand as it turned to iceI would do as bluey said and completely drain the system, check it all over for anything obvious. You can then get a pre-mixed coolant and put it in. Otherwise mix before filing up if the whole system is drained to make life easier.

Yes.Dont worry, the engine will probably be ok. The first thing to get damaged would be the radiators,if split, they may not leak until the coolant is hot and under pressure. So don't assume its ok just because they don't leak at first.scottyhatchi wrote:well i have now drained all the water out from radiator bottle and drain plug in engine so theres no water in there untill i get anti freeze tomorrow i assumed that the danger being freezing and expanding that causes any damage so draining the water out wud prevent damage ?? am i correct ? lol
I know more then just leaving water in it....rollingthunderx2 wrote:"Might of popped the core plugs tho in only water left in it"
