me too..Few bits for the bike

Post by lloydie »

today i collected my replacement engine of ypvs250 and i must say what a nice guy  .
he sweetened the deal with throwing in more parts than i know what to do with ( carbs/exhaust/most of the electrics/air box/and lots more)  .
a big thank you to you ypvs250

now i have the engine back at home i want to do a compression test on it .
how would i go about doing this with a loose engine ?

jump leads straight onto the starter, carful for the engine moving about, but I don't think it will be that bad with them being V, don't forget to take out the plugs

Well done Lloyd, I'm pleased for you. You've been waiting a long time for an engine. What's the mileage on this one.

now thats what i call a good days man shopping

as long as the engine has oil in it it should be possible to do the compression test with a jump lead onto the starter. like already said, make sure it is strapped to something to stop it falling over. do i need to send the compression tester over?

i might even come over on the bike tomorrow :D

I wouldn't think of 30k as high if it was well maintained
