Throttle response & battery

Had the bike for year or so now, just recently very occasionally when waiting at traffic lights, when it goes orange and I start to move the engine misses a nano second beat, then picks up with a bit more twist. Is this a vtwin cycle type thing, or a simple tweak required. The idle speed is ok I know how that works!
Also not convinced the battery is holding its charge since the R&G heated grips were fitted. They were fitted properly and don't stay on after ignition turned off. Reckon they drain a bit of power on start up though. I leave it on a trickle charger. Is this early signs of an old battery or does it need a new R & R.

my dose that when the carbs need a balance .
its like it starts to pull on one cylinder until the other one come to life .

battery is a consumable item, like tyres and chain n sprox.

plenty of thread on here with part number for higher amperage batteries that will fit.

if you are doing short rides with lights on and grips then the battery will fade over a few days to the point it'll let you down when you need it.

regarding the hesitation..... check the air filter, change the plugs for new, turn the idle speed up a bit - 1500 works nice.... and balance the carbs. done.
