Bike respray - Final pictures added
Some of you may remember that at the back end of last year I was attempting to repaint my belly pan on my bike to try to match the shade of red the rest of the bike it. Well needless to say after many different shades none were close. It is my birthday this month and the mrs has said she would pay for the bike to be resprayed! Happy days.
Now the question is, do I stay with red and keep it plain and simple or so I go for something different, different colour with a replica sticker kit, just a different colour or what? Your opions please.

Re: Bike respray...
Still think the best looking one was the Hydrex race replica. Will see if I can find pictures

That'a quite nice that is. Think it might be a little out of my price range though
unless it comes in sticker form.
Edit: Just had an amazing thought.... I think I may go for the SP1 sticker kit, with the sp1 changed to vtr and a set of number boards in white. That is what I am thinking so far...

Tapeworks in the states used to sell kit's. Not sure if they still do them though.
This one is better.

Bike respray...
How about a nice pearl pink with black number boards with white pipping .
If I was to do another that's what I'd do :-)
How much do you have to spend ?
Mine only cost £500 for a full re-spray

If sh1t were money you would be worth a fortune
Re: Bike respray...
Would have to have the wings go onto the tank rather than just the fairings. I know a bloke who is going to spray it, just need to get a rough price but it should be around 300 quid. Need to ring up about the cost of the stickers today.

Just spoken to the place that do the decals. It's going to be about 60quid for the decals, inc fitting. So I can either strip the bike, get it painted then rebuild the bike and then take it to the decal place get them fitted to take it to bits again and then get the decals laquierd in. Hmmmmmm

Re: Bike respray...
Get it painted but not lacquered .
Then put it back together and have the decals put on .
The take it apart and have it lacquered .
This will insure they are in the correct place and don't look like sebs tank !

Re: Bike respray...
Also the more coats of lacquer that cover the decals ensures that you don't have any ridges where the decals are been put on.

white wheels look the biz! but you have got to clean them each ride
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

Re: Bike respray...
Just had some amazing news. The bike is being sprayed next week, then I have to bring panels home to put back onto the bike, take he bike to the sticker shop, get them to fit them. Bring the bike home, take panels off, take the panels back to spray shop and then back home after that and on the bike. All for less than 230quid!
