Dan moto exhaust's
Has anyone tried any of the stainless or titanium one's and got any feedback on them? Other than the fact they are very loud(good thing
) not really heard much about them..

Re: Dan moto exhaust's
I was considering some at one stage and done quite a but of research across various forums. Quite a few complaints that they are too loud.
So it's recommended to buy the baffles which are an optional extra. They don't go where you would think they go though. They are designed to go in the opposite end of the can between the link pipe and can. So not removable once in place. Some people run two lots of baffles, one set where I just explained and then another in the usual place.
Lots of complaints regarding the straps being crap and snapping, also the clamps are not so good and the thread snaps. Better to use your own. Also rivets have been know to pop out. Carbon cans are a definite no no with our bikes as the carbon is thin and known to have holes popping through from the pressure. Basically they are very loud and very cheaply made. The only ones that seem to be half decent are the GP extreme ones they do. If you do decide to get some then buy direct from their site as they are a fair bit cheaper than buying from ebay.
From the horror stories I've heard I would not recommend them. But for just over £100 what would one expect. OK for a year or two I suppose.

i have had some GP pipes on my Fazer 1000 and apart from going off colour quickly they were excellent for the money, i didnt fancy them for my storm but went to Powertech Performance and there great pipes.threy cost £200 with link pipes. i will send in a pic on the Fazer.

iy did sound fantasic but was a tad loud, on a storm i should imagine they would be far too loud and no Baffles!!!bigtwinthing wrote:

It's probably a bit of a mad idea.........but was thinking of getting my spare downpipes cut 2-1 style with single link pipe up under the seat, splitting into 2 again and having these bad boys coming through the seat upside down so to speak - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-Danmo ... 25714c3322, as in the post of the SP with the exhausts through the seat

I suppose it would allow you to ride through floods.

Re: Dan moto exhaust's
Both very different looks. The Blade exhaust would match in with the 916 seat unit I stuck on the E Bay thread. The DanMoto's laid side by side would give you the look of the early MV Agusta 750F4. Lot of work but very unique when finished.

Re: Dan moto exhaust's
Those twin outlet danmoto ones look like they would be feckin loud. The seat mod sounds ambitious have you been round Carl's house smoking?

If weathers not too bad on sat I might nip over to a custom exhaust maker near bristol and get a quote, will see how much a set of high level link pipes are too
