Last night, for the second time, my front CCT went. I was halfway thru a 120mile trip (coming home from a wake, no less). It was about midnight when it went in a pretty desolate area. Surprisingly enough, I was able to fix it. The tool kit contained everything but a very small screw driver. You need this the coil the CCT in before putting it back on. I was able to fashion one from a pen cap and a little scraping on the road, but a screwdriver would of been much easier. So, for those of you who haven't bought the APE's yet (I'm ordering mine today), stick a little screwdriver in your toolbag. It needs to fit in an 1/8th" hole. Oh yea... put a little flashlight in there too. Streetlamps only illuminate from above!
Cheers,
Scott

Hi Scott Malcolm,
I fully appreciate your top tip there, but you forgot to tell us what you actually did. Had you had a new CCT with you the bit you made up from a pen cap, would have been supplied. So I can only presume you had a spare secondhand CCT with you, fully extended, without the retracting tool.
Well at least you managed to fix it which is the main thing, when miles from anybody,
all the best,
Chris.
