Feels good

Post by Stormin Ben »

FINALLY got the bike back together, MoT'd and been for a ride

Damn that feels SOOO much better
The new 16/45 gearing is lovely without causing it to over-rev and I was really surprised how 'on it' I was having not ridden for over 6 months (knee down within 20 minutes of leaving the house)
Shame I've missed all the decent weather

Yeah you can't beat a good blast after a spell without it. Mind you 6mths is abit too long.
Are you using something different than the standard set speedo, now you have altered the gearing, as if you are it would be interesting to know if fuel consumption is worse or better.

Cheers Chris.

PS What decent weather? 8O

My guess is that the fuel consumption based on the speedo readings will stay the same. However if I get the Sigma fitte I may be in for a shock. Nind you I've been running a +2 rear sprocket for the last 2 years so an extra tooth ain't gonna make much difference

Since I've been forced to drive the boss' Mazda RX-8 for the last 2.5 weeks I've been praying for rain coz its got too much grip to spin the rear in the dry in anything other than 1st gear. Only had 2 days of serious sideways action, the rest of the time it been dry :x
