I bought some of those low temp alloy welding sticks that were discussed on here recently. If you want to have a go with one you are welcome. Just give me a shout.

Re: Clutch case.
i did exactly the same last autumn on a roundabout in paddington, stupidly i was wearing jeans, my leg still looks like someones taken a kebab knife to it, i would have had exactly the same damage to the clutch cover, had it not been for the carbonardi c/f cover i have fitted, took the impact with no problems, £40ish on german ebay..... well worth it imho...
http://www.carbonadi.de/
i've still got to order another c/f clutch cover for my second bike......

i've now touched it in with black paint and its not that noticable....

Re: Clutch case.
Sorry to hear of your fall and the legs looks sore
Please check very carefully that no gravel or tarmac has been forced into the engine and hopefully the engine did not continue to run while on its side. I see that there appears to be no oil showing in the oil inspection window in the posted photo. I would suggest that you drop the sump and clean it out as well as change the oil and filter if you have not already planned to do this. I will check mt stocks on Monday to see if I have a clutch cover if you have not located one by then.
Regards
Roger

Re: Clutch case.
Well the fron't brake lever is toast, but have a replacement set as clutch is scratched too, scratched my 7 month old set of titanium scorpions and snapped the plastic strap (designed like that to stop the can buckling I would guess)
£350 worth of can
other than that it seemed ok back fairing is undamaged and theres no fron't fairing, no damage to mudguard.
Many thanks roger, I don't think anything got into the engine, as its relatively new tarmac( under a year old), and its a pretty small hole. the bike didn't run very long on its side and was stalled before I managed to get off the floor( which was pretty quick I can assure you)
i've also had a look at http://www.rg-racing.com/browseType/Exh ... 004BK.aspx to cover up the scratched part of the ehxuast aswell as protect them in the future, plus 34 quid each would protect both sets and cover up the damage for much less than a new can.

Re: Clutch case.
Not the cans
now that really does hurt.
Those R&G protectors are a good idea and if they cover the scratches even better. You wouldn't have to replace the whole can though as you can get replacement sleeves. Get a new strap from Scorpion, I'm sure they do spares. I'm a bit confused to what the strap is, I can't visualise where it is on it. Is it part of the hanger or an end cap.
Have a look at the crash protectors lower down on the following page.

If your cans are in the standard position they would work well
When my bike got knocked over the first thing I was concerned about was my cans!
