HRC brake reservoir

Post by Steve6088 »

Is there any problem in replacing the rear brake reservoir with one of these HRC tube kits?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-HRC-H ... 27be554512

My reservoir is knackered and these came up in the ebay search. Potential to save a few grams here  but are there any problems in doing this which I'm not thinking of?

No problems at all. It just holds less fluid by the looks of it. You would also need a funnel to fill it up

I had one for a while and they don't take long to absorb some water and go off. Think they were designed for lots of fluid changes etc and race applications. I ended up changing mine back and world give mine away if anyone wanted it.
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?
