Quick release fuel line connectors

Hi All, has anyone tried these connectors on the 19l tank? and if so are they OK or do they leak?

The fuel hose for the storm has an ID of 10mm so clamp them up well!

Have another search as someone found some 10mm fuel couplings on the flebay.

Cheer Wicky I think I read here somewhere that you can have enough flow with 8mm (think Tony mentioned it) and will make sure they are secure

The majority of them are all 6 and 8mm, not many 10's about.

Just found some expensive posh ones but 8mm is the largest.

I would have though the 8mm would be OK, yes it will speed the flow a tad where it goes through the coupler but it will soon even out before it hit the carbs.

I wonder if air line fitting would work I don't see why not as long as they are all metal and don't contain any non petrol resistant rubber and shut of the flow.

Just another thought. 8MM might be better as it could possibly help even out the flow. My theory being the same principle as a carbtune. With the carbtune vacuums you either have to insert a smaller diameter hose inside the line somewhere or pinch the hoses to smooth out the fluctuations in reading the gauge.

Yes they are for the Storm Seb, I'm ocd, and prefer it to match the fuel line so it won't look unsightly matey

me and carl have also gone down the route of a varadero fuel tap, it has an on/off switch on it, unlike the storms, a straight swap on the 19ltr tank....

Cheers Marty, would rather keep it stock and use hose connectors, as don't plan to keep taking tank of much anyway (famous last words)

Hi Duffy, did you ever fit the 8mm quick release? Is it all good?
10mm ones are expensive...

I have the 8mm size fitted, no problems at all.
They flow fuel far faster than the bike (even with a tuned engine) can drink it.

Nah I realised on the 19l tank I could unbolt the vacuum fitting thingy along with the tank and pull hose off that connected to the carb. Will use then on 16l fighter tank though when I get time to build it

So you can disconnect it there without it leaking?
