new oem tensioners will fail.
stopper mod will still fail - but hopefully not as catastrophically....
thing i dont like with the stop mod is having to disassemble the oem tensioners and then put them back in, which seems pointless as you know they will fail.
having them fail not quite as much is not really an ideal solution.
plus it takes longer than fitting manuals, having to remove them which still involves timing up the engine, then take them apart, fit stopper then reassemble and refit, time up etc... i honestly personally see no benefit in doing the stopper mod apart from saving a few quid, which considering the cost of a rebuild is false economy imo.
manuals are a fit and forget mod. takes 2hrs tops, and after thrashing the butt off mine for over 20k with them fitted, i have never had to adjust them once. qed.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

lets hope mine are the same then, so far the bikes in bits, shims were fine, so replacing the CCT,s with my new blue manual ones on sunday, oil,filter and all brakes out on Monday, riding it wednesday i hope!!!benny hedges wrote:new oem tensioners will fail.
