HARRIS 24ltr petrol tanks

Post by YETI »

Does anyone know how many of these were made by HARRIS ?
I`m a jammie bugger and have one , i`ve had it for about
10yrs ( brought it off a fella in TAUNTON ) .
just curious ?
plus loads of you want bigger tank ranges , maybe approach HARRIS
about doing a small run of these ? though they werent cheap !
recon about £500 when they were doing them for endurance racing
but they are perfect blown up versions of the VTR tank in aluminium .
150 miles on a tank full

Bloody hell mate, you never cease to amaze me with some of the parts you have.

I doubt they made too many, especially at the price they would charge for them. :eek2 Only good for those that are doing long distance touring where petrel stops are not in abundance.

I don't think that is quite a copy of the Harris tank... That one has the "look" of an extended tank and the Harris one is just a larger version that looks the same as standard (except for Ram Air).
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

Blimey the Harris must look real bulgous (if that's a word  ) with ramair slots. I never realised it was designed for that.
