I admire your courage Carl, despite all the abuse you've been getting here. :D

Here is another idea to think about, maybe you can paint the clutch spring plate, so it will get a similar effect to the turbine as followed:

Asbestos artex would cope with heat well , or polystyrene ceiling tiles would look cool...
