and as for riding in crap weather if it makes you feel like a proper biker your welcome to it . i spend enough time stringing telecoms cables up in the snow/rain/wind/hail/ etc to get freezing cold/wet in my spare time. i also like going round corners as nippy as poss and when the roads are wet and slippery this is compromised so i dont bother. years ago before i had a car i used my bike all year round and cant say it made me feel much better about biking .
